INTRODUCTION

How much do you know about the United States? Maybe you’d like to visit this country one day. Many of your favourite singers and actors or actresses are from there. Can you imagine a month holiday with your friends in the United States?

So… LET’S GO!!

TASK

Imagine that you work for a travel agency organising trips for teenagers.

You’ll have to make a tourist leafleft about one of the 50 American states with all the information you consider interesting for people of your age. The trip will last ONE MONTH.

PROCESS

  1. Make groups of four people.
  2. Choose the state you’d like to visit. Tell the teacher the name of the chosen state before going on with the next step.
  3. The leaflet must have four sections: location and natural environment, places and cities to visit, hotels and restaurants, and places for entertainment (shopping, discos, theme parks, natural parks, activities, …).
  4. Each section must be created by one of the members of the group.
  5. Use short and simple sentences in your texts, DON’T copy the information that you can find in the links, use images and photographs to make the leaflet more attractive. And don’t forget to write your name at the end of your section.
  6. You’ll have four classes to do the task. When you finish, fill in the group work evaluation questionnaire and save it in your computer.
